OK, so the studio's in the toilet at the moment due to problems with the University estates management and our really temperamental temporary internet connection, but hopefully we'll have a more successful broadcast tonight at Vivaz Venue in Scarborough for their regular SESSIONS event. This is a first for both Vivaz and BassMent! Radio to be broadcasting a live event (if it works).
If you want to find out more, tune in on the Listen Now page at 11pm, or better yet come and find out in person - £8 entry for an epic night! It all finishes around 6am. This broadcast will NOT be recorded for the On Demand library so make sure you tune it when you can!

Well, it's official. The contractors have been and quoted our sockets and we've gone ahead with the work. So hopefully we'll have permanent internet connection in the next week or so and the week after that we're on the air!! :D
Special thanks to Adam, Wayne and Kathryn in the Scarborough Campus Student's Union as well as the IT and CMT department for all their help and support.

Hello one and all!
After much outdateness, random "Error 500: Internal Server Error"s and the eventual collapsaion of the old BassMent! Radio website, we are back with a new look (well ok, one nicked from the "Joomla!" software and tweaked a little bit to make our own design), new studio, new manager ("Lord mike the Radioboy"), new structure (under HUUSC's media segment) as well as some new staff and presenters.
While the site is in it's early stages of construction, please bear with us and it, as there is still much work to do and a few kinks to iron out on published pages here and there. However, the player is available to use by clicking on the "Listen Now" link at the top of the page.
The "Blogs" section where you will be able to read up on the current reviews and tohughts of our presenters and check the progress of the new site in the "Construction" blog and the "About" section where you will be able to read about the history of BassMent! Radio and who and what makes it run now.
Feel free to sign up as member only features will appear on here eventually.
